Trustees - 7441

As Save the Children UK looks ahead to its next strategic chapter and a longer-term vision for greater impact, we are seeking four new Trustees to join our Board and help shape the future of one of the world's leading children's organisations.

Please note, recruitment for these positions is being managed by our recruiting partner, Perrett Laver. Please visit their website via this link to learn more about the opportunities and how to apply.

About the roles

Every child deserves the chance to survive, learn and be protected. Part of a global movement that supported 37.8 million children across 92 countries in 2025, Save the Children UK works alongside children, communities and partners to advance children's rights, tackle poverty and inequality, and create lasting change in the UK and around the world.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to some of the most important questions facing children today. As a Trustee, you will help guide the organisation through a rapidly changing environment shaped by conflict, climate change, deepening inequality and shifts in the global funding landscape. You will provide strategic oversight, constructive challenge and support to ensure Save the Children UK remains bold, effective and focused on delivering impact for children.

We are particularly interested in recruiting individuals with specialist expertise in one of four distinct areas: Finance; Digital, Data, Technology and AI; Safeguarding; and Advocacy and Campaigning. Candidates should bring expertise in at least one of these areas, alongside strong judgement, integrity, strategic thinking and a commitment to high standards of governance.

If you share our vision for a world where every child is thriving, heard and valued, and hopeful for a more just, equal and sustainable future, and you want to help shape the future of Save the Children UK, we would be delighted to hear from you.

To apply, please submit a CV and covering letter, detailing how you fulfil the role description and personal specification to https://plusportal.perrettlaver.com/ quoting reference 8719.

The deadline for applications is Monday 7th December 2026.

Save the Children UK believes in a world that is fair, inclusive and equitable where all children have the opportunity to change their world. We apply this to our workforce, and we are committed to developing and supporting a diverse, equitable, and inclusive organisation where structural inequality is actively addressed, and all employees have a sense of belonging and feel that they can thrive.

We are not looking for just one type of person - we want to recruit people who can add fresh perspectives, innovative ideas or challenge that disrupts the risk of group think. We know that different voices working together will enable us to do our work better, improving the lives of children around the world.
